This document collects several suggestions that were made for inclusion into the Code of Practice that might be better placed in a DNA Terms and Conditions document. Comments and suggestions encouraged. Leni. ADNA Domain Name Administrator Terms and Conditions Draft #1 Comments to dns§intiaa.asn.au or leni§toplevel.net 1 Introduction This document contains suggestions made on the dns§intiaa.asn.au mailing list for inclusion within a ãTerms and Conditionsä document to be signed by DNAs after being selected to operate within the ADNA framework. 2 List of proposed paragraphs 2.1 DNAs agree to operate at the discretion of ADNA Something is required to specifiy the relationship between: - ADNA and the DNA and - the DNA and the central registry software. Mark Hughes has made a suggestion relating to ADNA and the DNA shown in 2.5 below. Perhaps something to say that DNAâs acknowledge that their right to operate in the domain derives from ADNA and that continued operation within such domain requires acceptance of .these Terms and conditions and other such policies as determined by ADNA. 2.2 Agree to the Code of Conduct DNAâs agree to abide to both the letter and the spirit of the Code of Conduct. 2.3 Contribution to central registry software It was suggested that DNA contribute resources to the development of the central registry software and that this be made part of the terms and conditions. 2.4 Judgements against DNAs In response to concerns about unfair pricing and anti-competitive conduct, it was suggested that if a judgement was delivered against a DNA by someone like the ACCC, that ADNA have the right to penalise the DNA, up to and including removing the right to operate. 2.5 The Nature of DNA licenses Mark Hughes on 1 August suggested that ADNA issues DNA licenses that are: - valid for a period of one year - Automatically renewed, only subject to the DNA continuing to meet set criteria (as amended by ADNA from time to time), and subject to the DNA having paid any charges due to ADNA.
