With respect Larry, what sort of infrastructure do you have? Hang on -
that question should probably be rhetorical, because we really should
define what sort of standard solution is required rather than hand
about domain name governance willy nilly. After one year will you charge
for the service? Will you charge so much that you cover the
infrastructure costs of the first year? Is that wise for the *.org.au
name space? Do shoestring budget orgs really *want* to have to pay
market/industry rates?

We need to examine the other issues around dns rather than opt for
quick fixes - damn nice of you to offer, though.

I'm glad we have mentioned Lifeline here, they are one volunteer
organisation that demonstrate the excellence that volunteer
organisations can attain.

Please folks, can we get PRACTICAL??? Rather than produce more noise
that detracts from real progress...
