HEAR! By the way, what is the reason for this fixation with 1:1 mapping? It can't just be a function of the obsolete "a domain name is just an address" theory - in the real world many businesses and individuals, for that matter, have more than one address and more than one telephone number. Moreover, the "just an address" theory is just not right, if it ever were true. The courts all round the world are recognising reality, what is the point in designing a system which ignores this? Should we be designing a system which conforms to some Cartesian dream of utopia or one which recognises the way people will use it?
