There is, however, a mailing list dedicated to this topic and it is probably better that those interested subscribe: process2§listbox.wipo.int Full information about the process is available from the WIPO web-site at: http://wipo2.wipo.int Any comments or criticisms of the process are appropriately addressed to WIPO. My impressions (for what they are worth) are that it is genuine effort to consult as widely as possible (given limited resources). The issue of rights to indigenous names is important, and was certainly raised at the Melbourne meeting. It does not fall within the terms of reference for WIPO2 but, in my view, it is an issue that will have to be addressed. It should be clear that any comments I have made have been entirely personal. The comments inspiring Len's research were intemperate, but we all make mistakes. I'm happy to encourage debate regarding future of DNS, as it is part of my work. Len's position (as I understand it) is interesting, and certainly shared by many people. I wish him nothing but the best in his campaign, as our understanding of these issues can only be improved by people with a passionate interest in these matters. Meanwhile, there is obviously plenty of .au matters to think about...
