Come on Don, Don't take it personally and please make sure you continue to contribute. I can't recall anything you've said that has ever been that wrong, unlike yours truly. Yes we all make mistakes and that's because it's people who actually generate these e-mails not PC's Having said that: I am sure that an overwhelming majority of the members contributing to this list do so because they have the best interests of our industry at heart. Whether we go about things the right way all the time is a different story, ultimately it's the fact that we are working towards these best interests for one (myself) and all that counts for more than anything. Look forward to hearing from you again soon Don MV -----Original Message----- From: Don [mailto:donc§mudgeeab.com.au] Sent: Wednesday, 10 October 2001 8:30 PM To: dns§auda.org.au Subject: Re: [DNS] Public soap boxing... AGAIN OK, Point taken... I'm awake... the roses stink... and yes... all of this may well be true from a few people's perspectives. However it's not about content, it's about courtesy on a public forum (does anybody remember netiquette?) However... if anyone really wants to DO something about this perceived issue (instead of simply using this mail list as a free means of bitching in everyone else's mailbox) - then do it. All I ask is this... If anyone wants to address a posting to "Larry"... then send it to "Larry"... not to everyone else on the list. If someone wants to address a posting to me, then do me the courtesy of sending it to me - not to everyone else. However if you have a subject of interest to the list membership and it's a courteous posting, then address it as such and click "send" - I'm sure we will all welcome the info. and in advance... sorry to all for responding in the first place. Lesson learnt - I'm not going to be drawn into this again. Don -- This article is not to be reproduced or quoted beyond this forum without express permission of the author. 317 subscribers.
