Day 1 of the new regime and for me a total disaster. Quote re interface test. "The test is designed to ensure that registrars are able to use AusRegistry's technical interface to process domain name registrations on behalf of registrants. The test also ensures that registrars can correctly apply auDA's domain name policy rules when deciding whether a registrant is eligible to license a domain name. " I was rejected for a domain name incorrectly (registered as a exact match from my business name, No difficult decisions there) and subsequently a third party registered the domain instead. You can imagine how upset I was. I contacted the registrar and apparently it was a "problem with a script". This is not my problem. If I drive a car and a mechanical fault causes it to swerve and kill someone then who is responsible? The driver. After all their systems were tested and accredited. I also noted with interest that the auDA accredited registrar did not comply with the Registrar Agreement between them and auDA as well as some of the Code of Practice. Can someone explain why we waste our time discussing and drafting these documents when they are not adhered to anyway? If I am in breech of a contract then I am penalized, why not the Registrars? I am very ****** off and I think its about time auDA and the registrars were held accountable for their bad management. >Quote ".au Domain Administration Ltd (auDA) is an Australian not-for-profit company vested with the responsibility of operating the .au domain for the benefit of all stakeholders." >End To me its seems that some benefit more than others. Its obvious to me the system does not work and I can see more problems emerging very shortly. IanReceived on Fri Oct 03 2003 - 00:00:00 UTC
