Posted on behalf of Maggie Leong, AusRegistry: To whom it may concern, AusRegistry, the Registry (wholesale provider) and DNS operator for domain names in .com.au, .net.au, .id.au, .asn.au, .org.au .edu.au and .gov.au has recently created a DNS mailing list. This is launched in conjunction with the new look AusRegistry website located at www.ausregistry.com.au <http://www.ausregistry.com.au/> Similar to the current DNS list (auDA) the list will be for the general discussion of issues relating to the .au Domain Name Industry including the DNS, WhoIs and other Registry services. However, we will be moderating the list to ensure that only pertinent posts are made. Comments that are offensive, irrelevant or misleading will not be shown. The express purpose of this list is to allow users the freedom to contribute without reprisal. This in no way means that AusRegistry will back away from potentially sensitive issues but rather ensure these issues are discussed with civility. It also means that subscribers to the list won't be inundated with emails of little on no relevance. The list will also be the main list by which AusRegistry will convey system outages and information regarding the technical running of the Registry Systems and the DNS. The AusRegistry DNS list is: ****** open to any interested party ****** all applicants to the list will be reviewed (an applicant may be rejected at the discretion of the list manager - AusRegistry) ****** all posts will be screened ****** any posts that are considered inappropriate will be rejected and the sender will be notified ****** if a member continues to make inappropriate contributions they will be removed from the list. How to join the AusRegistry DNS list: Please go to <http://www.ausregistry.net.au/lists/listinfo/dns> http://www.ausregistry.net.au/lists/listinfo/dns Subscription to the list is then authenticated by AusRegistry. You will receive an email accepting or denying your application. Then, if accepted, you will be free to post your thoughts on the list. Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you on our DNS list.
