This is why I am concerned about transparency and accountability:


Dear Mr Guy,

I am starting to get more than a little irritated with the stream of
communications we are receiving from you. 

You seem to be under the impression that every decision made by me or my
staff has to be 'authorised' by the board. This is not correct as anyone
with a modicum of understanding of corporate governance would realise.

Further, many of your communications are peppered with 'threats' such as
'I will  report matters to the Privacy Commissioner', 'I will publish
articles in the media'  and 'I will contact Senator Alston's office
directly'. I am not prepared to be and will not allow my staff to be
threatened in such a manner each time I or they do something that you do
not agree with. Further threats from you will not be responded to.

A decision has been made in respect to vacancies on the Code of Practice
Committee and that decision stands.

Please be advised that auDA's position to my inclusion in the review
process of both the code of practise and the whois policy is contra the
mandate issued to auDA by both ICANN and the Australian government
requiring full community participation.  Further, I have been advised
that the committee's were in fact open to interested parties.  

Please confirm that this is a decision of the Board of auDA and that you
are duly authorised to give this response.

Unless this position is reversed I will contact Senator Alston's office
directly.
