I recently lost some of my email and some were invoices with respect to registrations. I have approached the registrar MelbourneIT to gain access to a list of my registered domains and my keys. I was told that I would be required to go through there CDM system. This was going to be expensive §$1500 but don't quote me and was regarded as consolidation services. I have filed a complaint with the Federal Privacy Commissioner after I was advised that the data is available through whois and a list would not be provided. Catch 22 right.

I have copies of emails to back this up.

Now those domains were registered to me personally. I made a request for copies of invoice for DST tax purposes. Answer no. Told that MelbourneIT's system did not work on blanket requests. Earlier I had been told that it may be possible.

So what is it? I have attemtped to transfer to bottle domains all domains registered through MelbourneIT without success because of the catch 22. Why should a private individual or corporate be forced to pay for this information about their own domains?
