I am trying to track down information about the pricing of old domain names. I have just been informed that our domain (ish.com.au) is due for renewal for the first time after 10 years. The domain was obtained in 1991. I had thought that the initial registration was unlimited and that the bi-annual fees did not apply for domains registered before a certain date. Does anyone have links/information as to how these domains were handled? Do they now go onto the same fee structure as everything else or should they be renewed for another 10 years, or should they have actually been permanent fee-less registrations.
